iCloud Changing iCloud to another iCloud mail

Hello,

Recently I tried to change my xx@icloud.com to yy@icloud.com but it gave me an error, so after some research on web and one-hour talk with Apple Support I find out it’s not possible. But today I just got an new idea. As I see Apple allows to change it to third party like Gmail our Outlook. And If you’ve third party you can change it to @icloud (as I know they‘ve added it few years ago)

What If I change my xx@icloud.com to mygmail@gmail.com then to yy@icloud.com? Is it possible?

If I recall correctly it won't forget xx@icloud.com so when you try and change it from Gmail to yy@icloud.com it will tell you that you already have xx@icloud.com.

If you completely deleted your apple ID the xx@icloud.com is never returned to the pool for someone to use it but when registering a new apple ID you should be able to pick a new @icloud.com address.
