I have the current versions of Snow Leopard.

I was changing some of my icons and now one of them (the Documents icon) for the documents directory is showing a default white page with little photo icon. No matter what I do it will not change back the the blue documents folder icon or any other icon.
I have use CandyBar and LiteIcon, and I have manually tried to change it by dragging the icon in the "Get Info" screen. Nothing works.

How can I fix this?

a. make sure that the little lock picture on your "get info" window is unlocked.
b. right above that you should see something that says "read only" or "read & write." make sure all of those things say "read and write."

once that is out of the way, click/highlight the current photo icon you have for ur docs folder (upper left hand of the "get info" window) then hit: command x

That worked! :D

Thank you.

P.S. Do you trust changing the default icons?
