changing icons

i just got my macbook today!!!! my first mac purchase and i'm in love. i'm trying to change the finder icon and i'm having a little trouble. one guy told me how to do it a while ago, but i'm having a little trouble. i would really appreciate it any anybody could help me out!

i did a quick search, but i was in a hurry, sorry if i missed something. i'm familiar with candy bar, but i thought there was a way to change the finder icon manually.

Not the Finder one.
Most others you can do by . . .

1. Click on icon you want to use
2. Press Command-C (Copy)
3. Click on icon you want changing
4. Press Command-I (Get Info)
5. Click on the icon in the 'Get Info' window
6. Press Command-V (Paste)

you actually can change the Trash/Finder icons manually. if you go over to interfacelift.com and read their guides they tell you how to. but i don't recommend it at all. its easier and safer to use Candybar
