Just bought a Seagate portable HD and it suggests using the Paragon driver to write data to the NTFS-formatted HD. However, since I'm running the beta version of OS X, the installation of the Paragon driver doesn't work. It immediately tells me I'm running an unsupported version of Mac (of course).

Any idea if there's an easy way to just change the compatibility of the installation so that I can get this going? I'd hate to format it a different way and then either not be able to access all of its drive space or compatibility issues between swapping between computers.

Do you need the HD to use the NTFS file system?
Most modern operating systems support ExFAT. Both Windows an macOS support reading and writing it out of the box.

You may use Disk Utility to format the drive as ExFAT.
