I'm running 10.8.2 which I upgraded from Lion and Snow Leopard before that.
I was using Filevault on 10.6.x.

Now it seems that Filevault is limiting the size of my user directory to 320GB, whereas my whole drive is 750 GB (single user machine).

When I try to disable Filevault, it says I don't have enough space to turn it off (I guess it needs cache space equivalent to the amount of used memory in my current Filevault).

I tried to delete as much as I could, but it's still asking for 86GB, which I don't think I can do without purchasing an external drive.

What can I do?
