Changing mac Device name

Hi all,

Wondering how to change my macs device ID to show up on the wireless network. On the Sky Hub router page its currently 'UNKOWN', presume its not a Sky Hub setting and a Mac setting that needs to be changed. If it is actually a Sky Hub setting I'll post this over in the sky forums.

Have you looked at System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name yet?

I went to Sytem Pref > Network > WIFI > Advanced > TCP/IP > Changed configure IPv4 from manual to 'using DHCP' > Changed 'DHCP Client ID' to 'James-Mac'

It seems to have worked when I go on the router settings, not sure exactly what I did change but it worked haha If you know what I've actually done then please explain

Edit: and I did try the sharing option earlier but didn't work
