Changing Mac Mail Badge

Does anyone know how to change the Mac Mail Badge? I got an icon pack and it said to paste this into the resources folder of the mail.app but it didnt exist so nothing was replaced and I found the red badge and named the new one to match the old one and restarted and it still didnt change...

Im talking about the red circle with the white 2 if anyone is confused.

There is definitely a resources folder in Mail.app. There's a resource folder in every app, to my knowledge.

Ctrl-click on Mail, go to "Show Package Contents". Then open the Contents folder you'll see, and then you'll see the Resources folder.

No, the file the new badge was supposed to replace in the Resources folder didnt exist.
