Hi all,
I'm wondering if I have inadvertently changed some setting in my Mail app. I am able to receive mail, but I can't send mail. When I look at my Mail preferences, it tells me that the comcast smtp server is offline, but when I try and send mail using the comcast web interface, I can send mail just fine. Is there some manual way I can force the outgoing server back online?
 
Unless you intentionally went into the mail account settings and changed something, it would be hard to do it by accident. Open Mail prefs and look in the Accounts tab then verify you have everything configured as specified in this document from Comcast.
