Changing Mail Synchronization frequency

I ran a simple terminal line to output Mail's IMAP activity and determined that it synchronizes my gmail account every 10 minutes unless I manually synchronize myself.

/Applications/Mail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail -LogActivityOnPort 993

Which file/line stores Mail's synchronization frequency? Or does anyone know a terminal line to adjust this manually?
