I just bought a US MBP. The keyboard is a little different to the UK ones. For example, the @ key is located on the number 2 key, not immediately to the left of the enter key, and vice versa with the " character. There are a few other differences, such as the lack of the pounds (uk currency) symbol on the number keys etc.

When I went through the mac os x setup, I chose british english as my languange, but the @ key is still on number 2 and all the other US keys are still functioning the US way, not the UK way. How can I switch it so that the keys respond in the UK way?

Many thanks!

I've got language, text, input sources and format all as british or british english, and yet still the shift + 2 gives me the @ sign, not the " sign.

Any other suggestions?
