I have iMac 27" from 2012 and graphic card is brokem. Does worth it pay for new motherboard on Mac which cost about 2000 $ or buy new one? Thanks for answers.

I'm pretty sure that there was a known problem with some 2011-2012 iMac graphics cards. So much so that apple started a replacement programme. If you qualify, you might be able to get apple to replace it for free. Is it the Radeon HD 6970M?

OP says $2,000

I don't know where you're posting from or the spec of your model, but that sounds pretty close to what a new one would cost.

First of all, the way the original poster wrote their post that it could be read also that the Mac originally cost $2000 which seems logical given that is probably the case. Second, I asked what the quote was because it was not clear from the OP post whether that had been done. Finally, I wasn't making any assumptions just asking for more clarification.
