Changing Notes font via desktop Mail

I've read in numerous places that once you have Notes syncing from the phone to Mail, you can then change the font in Mail, and it will change the font in Notes on the phone (see ya later Marker Felt). However, I can't get it to work. The Notes are syncing, and I can change the font in Mail via the Prefs, but it doesn't reflect on the phone.

Has anyone else gotten this to work?
