Hiya,
My Mac Pro currently has Leopard Server 10.5.8 and I'd like to change it to the normal Snow Leopard. Will I need to format my hard disk? Time Machine is running so I have a backup.
Cheerio,
Hellene

Slap in a Snow Leopard disk and click on the installer. Simple as that.

THE SMALL PRINT MADE HUGE.
  • A backup of your essential files is recommended. Time Machine is probably the best for that.
  • For Snow Leopard, a clean install is recommended, but not necessary. A clean install requires you to insert your SL install disk, press and hold c when you boot your mac, wipe your hard drive with the installer's disk utility and then installing. A backup of your files IS needed with a clean install.

Thanks roadbloc, will do that. Quick question, will the Time Machine on the Snow Leopard still see the same files setup on the Leopard Server?
