Changing processor

Am I able to put an intel chip inside my g5 imac? Or does anyone know of emulation software such as parallels or cross over that works for the g5?

No, you would need an entirely new motherboard to swap in a different CPU. You can use Virtual PC to run Windows on your Mac, though I believe it's rather slow, and no longer produced.

I assumed it wouldn't be so simple. thanks though. i do have a copy of virtual pc though, and on my g5 it does not work, it says that the processor is not supported... ? any ideas? Perhaps it is just not the right version...
