a quick question. Will apple ever find out that I opened the back lid of the laptop to change the RAM and put it back On without changing the RAM?

i am just concerned with the warranty issues in future. because if you closely look at the place where the screw goes, the aliminium shows soem wear on it indicating that the screws were removed.

What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Bipin

Either way, I don't think they mind if you change your own memory. It's a user replaceable part.

it is the unibody? will they mind? is there something written somewhere? what if we cange the fans on our own?

i dont think that it will be an issue at all, they give you instructions on how to do it

i think it is page 42 in the manual that came in the box

There is a picture of how to do it on the back of the battery cover. If Apple is giving you instructions like that they aren't going to be upset if you follow them...
