Hi all, apologies if this question has been asked/answered elsewhere.

My partner purchased an older second hand Macbook (running Leopard - from what he tells me). But he can't get round the admin password which wasn't supplied to him.

Is there any way to change/reset this password without knowing the current password? I've got a copy of the Leopard install disk - would re-installing leopard help?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use the system's restore disc 1 or a Leopard Disc, boot off of the disc by holding 'c' once you hear the chime, then use the utilities menu to change/remove the password.
