I recently installed an application (one I need so I can't just delete it) and now every file extension not owned by some other application is owned by it (it has become the default for unknown extensions).

For example - file.abcdefg and file.uvwxyz and every other crazy extension as well as files with no extension default to this application rather than having the Finder ask what application to open them with.

How could this happen and how do I fix it? Is this an issue with the plist in the programs bundle?

Notice I am NOT asking how to set the default application for a PARTICULAR file extension.

Thanks.
