Hi

I need to change the size of a video to 780x240 - odd size I know.

I have tried to following - iMovie - Share - Export Using QuickTime - Custom Sizes.

However whenever I do this the video comes out as 426 x 240? Where am I going wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's important to know that you can only downsize your clip. Not a higher size (the quality would be very poor)

Your problem is that you selected the "Fit within dimensions" option in the "Export Size Settings" window.

The "Letterbox" option will keep your clip undistorted by putting black bars around it.

The "Crop" option will try to fit every pixel of the exported clip into the dimensions that are specified. This option in turn will crop the edges of your clip.

If you uncheck the "Preserve aspect ratio using" option, it will stretch and distort your movie.
