I love people who jump right away to a forum to ask a simple question instead of taking 10 seconds to figure it out themselves.

Maybe he did and couldn't figure it out. There's no indication you can scroll down in the General settings, unlike the Settings page that cuts off a button. Some people do, others ask. If we could all figure it out there wouldn't be much forum left. :D

Gee sorry guys. I love people who flame others for asking simple questions. I asked because I didn't have my phone with me at the time.

That's like saying if everyone knew the names of all the chess pieces, there wouldn't be much of a chess club left. It's all about levels.

The words forum and help desk have very different meanings.

"Goals of the Forums
The #1 goal is to discuss Mac News and Mac Rumors.

The rules and decisions are made to protect this goal over all else, first and foremost in the News and Article Discussion forums. Following closely are forum discussions about other aspects of Macs and for giving help to fellow users."

The OP question might have been better suited for iPhone Tips, Help and Troubleshooting but I don't really care about that. The OP followed up and besides being put off he has a reasonable explaination on why he asked the question. Just sayin'...

I don't mind helping if I can. I was offering a my own version of help...you know that old saying, you can teach a horse to fish...

And I ain't no hata. Since ancient Roman forums, people have been asking basic questions, and dudes in togas poked a little fun at em. I'm just a dude in a toga. Ok, it's more of a towel. A Hello Kitty towel, if you must know.

Well in that case the OP's post is not news and its not a rumor.
So I should change my original post to: Wrong forum buddy. There is a forum for help.

The little switch to turn 24-hour time off is greyed out on my iPhone and has been since I got it.

I'm probably being dense but is there any other options on the phone that will help me "un-grey" the switch?
