Changing some features in Finder

I can't find any answer in those Mac help links. Here's my questions:

A) How to enlarge the fonts. The default font size seems so small.

B) After dragging the column to reveal the full sentence and close the Finder and upon reopening, the column collapse back to original position again. Is there a way to make it permanent.

Sorry to ask all these as I'm getting momentum into the system now. Thanks.

CMD+J to open the VIEW OPTIONS, but you can only set the font size for the contents of the right side outside the SIDEBAR and TOOLBARS.

I just tested it, and there seems to be no way, but I use LIST VIEW most of the time anyway.

Hold down the option key when changing the column width.

Bravo, but it affects globally.

Is there a trick only for individual file (eg only for Document but not affecting Pictures).
