Hi guys. Just got my new PB 15" loving it :)

I've just re-installed, didnt need all the extra programs + printer drivers (over 1 gb  ) + I wanted to split the HD up in two. One for OSX and programs, and the other for movies .... well you get the picture.

My question

How do i change the source for Movies, Music and Pictures in Finder?

Your Pictures, Movies, Music etc. folders are part of your "Home".

Your Home is that part of the HD which is yours, and yours only. So, to move the default locations of those folders you must change the location of your Home.

In /Applications/Utilities you must open NetInfo Manager.
Click on "users", and in the middle column click on <yourname>
In the panel below this you'll find "home", and on the right the locations where it is now (/Users/<yourname>).
Once you've clicked on the lock (bottom left), and entered your admin password, you can edit the place where your home should be put.

YOU CAN TRY IT, BUT DON'T HOLD ME RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY EVENTUAL LOSS OF DATA!!!

It should work, but please, please backup your home-dir first! ;)

Aint got any data to loose. So ill give it a try. The harddrive I want to move the folders to is "Storage". So I just write /users/Storage ?
