Does anybody know how to change the unlock sound on the ipod touch?

I have tried doing it with SSh and I made my own sound and renamed it to unlock.caf just like the one I want to replace.

I put that sound in System/Audio/UISounds... replaced it with the old one and I still get the tick sound when I unlock.

I know the speaker wont play it but if you set it to headphones it should.

Anybody know whats wrong?

EDIT: My ipod is on 2.0.2 if that helps too

Actually if you set your sound effects to play through you headphones then the sounds can be changed. I've seen people with their sounds changed.

And if you had read my whole first post you would have seen where I said that I know the speaker can't play it but the headphones can.

I don't know what to say then.
Maybe they have to be a specific size?
I've done it before too ... but I downloaded the sounds off of Customize.
They were REALLY loud.
So I would say ... go give that a shot.

I have downloaded Customize off of cydia and everytime I started it, it would always show the chicken then crash. I tried resetting and reinstalling but it didn't work. So I deleted that.

I have also tried ToneFXs from cydia and when I change the sounds with that I still get the click. I don't know what's wrong with it.

Install the Suid lib Fix. This should fix your crashing problems.
Oh ... and make sure you don't have winterboard installed with customize installed at the same time. I've heard they do not work well together.
