changing text tone

the 3g only has a very limited text tone and i was wondering if there is a way to add to it?

Yep, sucks, this has been one complaint since day one. I would be happy with one of their other tones, but for some reason they decided to limit your selection. It would also be nice to be able to choose a custom "ring" tone for the sms alerts also. Need something a little longer and attention getting. It would also be nice to have more settings like one of the pocketpc apps gave me. You could set times and choose the alerts / vibrate only and they days, for example work 8-5/m-f vibrate only. After hours beep / vibrate and at night be loud so I would wake up.
