Is it completely impossible to be able to change the apple logo that appears when you boot your PC, to an animated gif?

I'm aware of BootXChanger, which allows you to replace the logo with a static image. But having animation would be fantastic. It would soothe the 40-something seconds it takes to boot.

If you have the ability, could you also explain why it just can't work.
