Hi, I've tried searching for this already, and came up with nothing, so I apologize if this topic has been covered.

I'm attempting to change the default avi player on my iBook (OS X.2). I already went to system preferences and changed the quicktime mime type setting for avi and mpeg files (basically unchecked them). However, when I open an avi and go into "get info" and attempt to change the default player under "open with" and "change all" it still changes mplayer back to Quicktime. It's killing me that I can't change this system wide. I don't want to have to change every single avi file I have by hand. I'm hopeful that OS X can do this automatically.

Thanks in advance!
Mark
