My iPhone 15 Pro Max had 5G enabled in its settings. But I live in small town where its difficult to find a 5G tower. So I changed the settings from 5G to 4G LTE. Will it save some battery power and reduce the heat?

I'm on 17.1.1 with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and only see the switch
Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data option>Voice data
I’m not seeing the cellular data option. It’s only a switch on my end. iOS 17.1.1

No, it won't reduce iPhone temperature, it doesn't matter if it's 4G or 5G. I have seen that there's a minimum improvement in battery draining, your charge lasts a little bit longer due to iPhone doesn't have to be looking for a 5G connection. I made several tests because I live in a town where there is 4G and 5G in diferent places and I had the same doubt as you. My iPhone was never warm for being switching among networks but the battery did was draining a little more faster.
