changing the startup screen....HELP

Hi

settings were changed when my mac was being fixed. now when i start up it has a black screen with the boot info in white. i want to get rid of this and return to the old version. Can anyone help me out

Download something like Onyx or MacPilot (I think) and turn of verbose boot.

ok, but is there a way of doing it without? i just had another look for other posts and it appears i need to change a Kernal...?

Terminal solution...

At the terminal (Aplications --> Utilities --> Terminal.app) type (or paste):

sudo nvram boot-args=

This should reverse it.
