Changing volume format

Hi. I formatted my hard drive as Case-Sensitive Journaled. And now, when i try to install CS4 i get an error...
I've my HDD backed up using time machine, so i went and erased and reformatted my drive. I then restored the system and poof! it was back to case-sensitive...

Can anyone help me to reformat my drive and keep my system as it is?
