Changing volume problem

Hello,
I have a problem with changing my sound. Normally i would press the Alt/Option button and the volume up or down, to have it go 1/4th of the way, but it just stopped working. I use this option a lot. The only thing i changed is that i told my keyboard to use the F1, F2, etc keys as function keys. I changed it back again, but it still doesn't work. The only thing it does now, is that it opens my System Preferences sound

The key combo is shift+alt/option. Sure you got that right?

Whoops, big mistake on my side. i forgot i also had to press shift.

Thanks, lol. I think i was so used to it that i did it automatically, and i got messed up. Thanks for the help!
