Hi all,

In (excited) anticipation of tonight's event, I wondered if any of you guys know the best procedure for switching an Apple Watch on your data plan?

I went through a terribly messy time a couple of years ago when I got my S4 and spent hours on the phone to them to get it sorted.

So, I have a S4 with a data plan currently and will get a S6 and replace it, what is the best way to do this? I know there's a choice of "keep" or "end" data plan when you unpair but it's really not very clear reading it on EE's or Apple's website, so some straightforward advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

I switched from my S3 to the S5 and then within about 4 weeks to a replacement S5 when I seperated the screen layers by dropping it on a tiled floor.

All you need to do is give them the huge EID string of the new Watch once it's set up and paired then you should be good to go. You might get some runaround about unpairing it and then pairing it, I think this is more about the Watch getting a chance to find the network without the Phone and I just went for a walk with the watch and it all kicked in.

BTW: It's waaay easier reading the EID off the iPhone app than the watch.

Thank you, do when unpairing do I choose ‘keep data plan’ or ’remove data plan’?

What’s confusing is that I think I should remove the plan, but the explanations for this say that’s if you’re moving your watch to s new phone, but I’m not doing that, I’m getting a new watch. So, if I ‘keep plan’ does that keep the plan and put it on the new watch?
