For a number of years I’ve had Hive radiator valves on my radiators.
For a while all was ok, but over time they’ve been a bit irritating.
Firstly, they constantly seem to want to recalibrate, and then afterwards often need to be reset by removing batteries to get decent control.
Then randomly they seem to open way past target temperature, again only a reset by removing batteries will resolve this.
Mechanical fitting seems needlessly fiddly and changing batteries is awkward in places as actuator needs turning.
So in my study I’ve replaced the Hive radiator valve with the Eve Thermo radiator valve.
First impressionists are good.
Battery cover is on top so easily accessed.
Calibration is quick and easy.
The mechanical fitting seems much better and easier.
So I think in the new year I’ll start the process of changing over the remaining five radiator valves to Eve Thermo.
