Hello,

Okay, so, it is quite common for people with macs to experience wireless drop-outs.. but many have fixed it by simply changing the wireless channel but in my case, it didn't.. Depending on the channel, I could have a good connection for a full 24 hours but that is as long as it will let me and as short as a few minutes. After it drops out, I have to change the channel again to get a good connection.

Time and time again I do this and frankly, I am really annoyed and I would've reconsidered my mac purchase because a good internet connection consist most of my iMac usage.. I tried using manually entering my router IP and those address thingies (pardon my lack of technical understanding) with to no avail - it still drops out after time. I really don't know what to do anymore.

I use a 2008 iMac which I bought new a few weeks before the latest 2009 model came out.. it is paired with Netgear DG834Gv3 wireless router..

Other computers (windows xp) use the wireless connection as well and they never drop out. A desktop is cabled to the modem/router.

Thank You in advance for any inputs!!
