Hi - Anyone have some suggestions on a Character/Graphics generator for tile purposes for a small high school TV studio (preferably on a mac). I have seen Keynote/powerpoint used and then key out the background, but I was wondering what software is used today or what work flow anyone would recommend. I am looking for something more than a basic text title to enhance broadcasts.

What's your budget? Chyron is practically synonymous with character/graphics generation, but their products are very expensive and targeted at television and news stations. They also run on Windows-based boxes, not Mac.
OnTheAirCG is a Mac-based software package for character/title generation. $2300 though.
