Character Styles in Pages?

Now that I have a terrific iPad setup (Air 2 + Belkin Qode Ultra lite keyboard cover + DotPen stylus) I've been spending more time using this combo in my mobile workflow. I've gone as far as to digging into the latest version of iWork for OSX (iWork 09 is still my go-to option) simply because of the cross platform support.

I make heavy use of both paragraph and character styles in Pages for OSX and have not been able to find support for Character styles in Pages for iOS. Does this feature exist?

Update: It appears that although only paragraph styles are listed Pages for iOS DOES indirectly support character styles. It requires selecting text that uses the desired character style, selecting "Style..." and selecting "Copy Style", selecting the target text, selecting "Style..." and selecting "Paste Style". This is a bit convoluted and requires that the document already contain text using that character style... but at least it works.
