Hi everyone,

sorry if this has been already discussed but i have searched this forum and elsewhere with no luck.
I have a 2017 MBP 13" that sits near a late 2012 iMac (non retina) and a 2009 iMac.
is it possible to charge the MBP connecting it to one of these iMac with a Usb-a to usb-c cable?
how much power the usb-a will eventually deliver to the laptop?

thanks in advance
ciao,
m

The USB ports on your computer will not output enough power, it'll be like 2.5w vs. the 61w your computer came with. It could theoretically charge it up assuming the device is powered down, but it would take an awfully long time...
