iPad Charge cable not sitting right in port

The charge cable on my iPad is not sitting right in port

I need to angle it for it to charge?

I have tried.....
a brand new lightning cable
cleaning port with paper clip
cleaning port with alcohol and toothbrush
putting tape in one side of port

none of which have worked?

Any ideas?

I suggest to return it or bring it in for service.
