I must charge my iPhone 4s and I left the end plug at friend's house far away. Can I plug my iPhone 4s into my MacBookAir to charge the iPhone? thanks!:)

Yes, as long as you have a dock cable you can plug it into nearly any USB port to charge it.

You can charge your iPhone on just about any USB port be that on your Mac, PC, car charger, airplane.

If you have an iPad (non-mini models), you may have to find specific USB ports as some do not provide enough amperage to charge it.

Yeah go ahead. iTunes might pop up and ask to sync, but just say No or close it out or cancel. It'll pull power from the MBP and charger and give your phone a charge. Not as quick as a wall charger but the simple answer is yes - it will charge it.
