Charged for iPhone yesterday, now the charge not showing up

I pre ordered the iPhone 4 yesterday at around 1:30am pst. I checked my bank account several times yesterday and saw a $199 charge from AT&T. I checked again today and the charge is no longer there. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't get all of these threads saying "Omg, I was charged for the iphone."

It's called a pending charge.

Most likely the charge was a hold charge similar to how Apple does it. They place the hold when you place the pre-order to make sure there are enough funds in the account to secure the purchase. Since the item won't be shipping till next week they don't need to hold the funds till then and will most likely charge you when the phone ships. If you are truly concerned I would contact your bank to make sure it was indeed a hold and not a canceled charge. Hope everything works out ok.

It comes, then falls off, comes, then falls off.

Same thing happened with the iPad's.

i was never charged, just had 2 charges from att at 1.00 each and one at 0.00

I know that is a method used by some merchants to verify the authenticity and validity of a credit card account. It is later reversed.
