I have a 13" MacBook and the charger has strain relief/melting issues by the brick and will not work anymore. I read about the recalls online and I was wondering if I took the charger to the Apple Store, will they replace it. I do not have a warranty.

Yeah? Maybe it's just me, but I've always had more luck face-to-face than over the phone. If you're bumped between three different people, all of the people you just talked to get to watch you say the same thing over and over. Phone calls just don't have the same effect.

I haven't dealt with Apple's telephone support, though.

If its melting, they should replace it. You have to go in and be like "this thing is burning people" (which mine did). They replaced it even though applecare was over.
