Charger for a 2011 and 2013 MBA

My wife has a Mid 2011 13" MBA, I have the Mid 2013 version. Of course they use two different chargers. I'd like to purchase one extra charger that could work for both. Any suggestions?

Can you get the old MagSafe 1 charger which would go straight into the 2011 one and then use the MagSafe 1 to MagSafe 2 adapter apple sell to use it with the 2013?
