Hiya,
I have a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro (15" 2.53GHz Model). Basically, I have always used a 85W charger for it, as that is what I was given when I bought it Second Hand. Similarly, my Girlfriend has a 13" Macbook Pro with a 60W charger.

What I would like help with, is that I found information that suggested I can use the 60W charger with my specific model, this specification also suggests that: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP544. However, other information suggests that 15" models must use the 85W charger, e.g. Apple' Store pages for the Chargers.

I was hoping somebody here would know for certain whether I can use my Girlfriends 60W charger with my Laptop, which would save me having to carry my charger everytime I visit her.

Thanks in Advance :)

Your answer lies in the CHARGING section of the following link. The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it.
