I just watched the music Guided tour and found this interesting tidbit about syncing. At 1:08, the person said in order to sync music with :apple:Watch, you must connect it to the charger. I've never heard that requirement, so I decided to share it here. Any thoughts?

Transferring data is probably fairly intensive and will murder the battery if not plugged in. They do the same for iCloud Backup on your iPhone for similar reasons. Not ideal, but I get why.

Yeah, it's not ideal if I have to change some setting in the middle of nowhere, but I do get why.

I'm guessing this will be recommended but not required. Pretty silly if you can't adjust playlists synced on the go.

This. Although I could see them doing something similar to updates on the iPhone where it will let you do the sync unless your battery is under 50% or something like that.

All my music is in Apple lossless format. I hope there's an option to downgrade the quality before importing it to the watch.

why? you're already out...

The main reason why you would listen to the playlist on your watch is if you didn't have your iPhone on you, since it will be the same exact music. If you're on the go, and you want to sync the playlist... It would mean you would have your iPhone on you. Just listen to it from your phone using your Watch.

changing settings is one thing, & it would be essential to not have to have it charging to do that. but syncing music doesn't really matter whether its charging or not.

Good point
