Hey, i just wanted to get some opinions on my old charger.

I want to use it and i just want to know if its safe. It gets really hot it melted a tape (non-electrical) and i was wondering if its going to melt this protector is a well.

I just ordered it anyways, to protect my newer one. But i still want to know if i should use or it or dump it.

Also, is there anywhere that sells the MagSafe 1 (Pre-Retina) chargers for cheaper? I want to get a MagSafe 1 just to use my adapter (lol it has otherwise came in handy too when traveling and work)

This is the protector thing:

Edit: For the a new magsafe 1 charger, anyone think this place is legit?

I wouldn't use it. In that state it is a fire hazard. Please for the love of all that is electrical safety repair or buy a new adapter.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't use that.

Mine did the same about seven years ago, but at the end that plugs in to the computer. It started smoking as the cord ripped so I think it easily could've been a fire hazard.
