MagSafe charger, my foot!

I tripped over my charger and thought that since it's magnetic, it would dislodge itself from my laptop. I probably tripped too fast that it snapped from the weakest point instead of dislodging.

Will I be able to repair it at home or should I buy a new charger? Can I buy some parts of the charger instead of buying a whole new one?

Unfortunately, I think your best bet is to buy a new one. I wouldn't risk trying to fix it.

I agree... it's simply a safer proposition to get a new charger from Apple (DO NOT get suckered into buying el cheapo ones from eBay either)

Yeah, I feel for you. That is definitely a weak point in their chargers, they regularly fray at that point. I don't know why they don't add additional reinforcement.

It's actually quite easy to fix if you are handy with a soldering iron. That side is all low voltage. But it's easier to buy a new one, no doubt.
