I have a strange problem and I've never encountered before. Recently, I notice even when my charger is connected to my MacBook Pro, it sometimes shows that the mac is running on battery. I can wiggle the magnetic connector (or hold it tighter) and it'll "connect" for a few seconds or minutes only to revert back to battery. Sometimes, rebooting helps this but it appears to revert back to it's old ways in a day or two.

Any suggestions?

Clean the contacts off on your MBP and on the charger.
How would you recommend to do this. Q-tip and rubbing alcohol?

At the moment, I am able to run off the charger but the battery won't charge and is sitting at 0%. When I rebooted this morning, the battery started charging for about 15 minutes before draining.

That would do famously. If that doesn't work, then maybe something popped off or the magnets aren't holding it in place properly. Time to send it off or take it to the Apple Store then.

Bad news. Now it won't charge at all and won't run plugged in.

It looks like a trip to the Apple Store but am now wondering if this is a bad power cord or something internal.
