Hi... I was wondering if it is possible to charge a 5g ipod with a powered usb hub, even when the computer is off. I have a power brick from my old mini that I use when I don't have my laptop but I like to keep my ipod connected to my computer when I'm at home or else I often forget to sync it. This wouldn't be a problem except that I don't like leaving the computer on all the time and the USB ports don't get power when its sleeping.

I found this one at bestbuy: Dynex - 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub ... will it work? Its kind of ugly though. Does anyone know of any other ones that are cooler looking?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, assuming the hub provides device power even when there's no computer on it.

(P.S. the reason I'm pretty sure it would work is that it works on desktops that power their USB ports while they're asleep)

Excellent... I love these forums. Responses are so quick and helpful. Much better then on the usual pc forums :) Now that I know it will work, does any one have suggestions for an especially cool looking one? I don't mind spending extra for good design and quality.
