I am sometimes charging my 2015 MacBook with my new 2020 MacBook Pro's charger. Could that charge my MacBook too quickly?

LOL I came to this thread expecting to see a charred MacBook! :(

Your MacBook will only draw what it needs so you're fine. Having too big of a charger is ok. Having an underpowered charger is a bad thing on pre-USB C devices - however with USB C - not an issue anymore I'm told.

Summary: You're perfectly fine.

Ha! I should have double checked the subject before posting. It's too bad that can't be edited....

If both are USB-C you should have no issue, assuming the charger can put out the minimal power (current and voltage) the device needs.

USB-C charging is smart. The charger and device negotiate the amount of power sent. So your 60W USB-C charger can usually adjust voltage and current to charge a lower powered USB-C device be that a phone, computer, recorder, etc, at the current and voltage the device specifies.
