I’m coming from an iPhone 6s+, and my other Apple devices are the iPad Pro 2 & the series 2 watch. So, I’m a little behind the times! :) When I get my iPhone 13, I know it won’t have a charger. I use a usb charging station for all my devices. It’s at least 6 years old and not made anymore, but I still like it. I don’t have any products that use usb-c so I can’t check to see if it works with usb-c.

In general, can older chargers accept a usb-c cable & efficiently/safely charge the device? Or, do I need to purchase a charger for the new phone? If so, any recommendation?

And while I’m asking questions . . . MagSafe — it’s just a cable that allows you to charge without using the lightning port (similar to how my watch charges)? Have folks found it worth the $$?

Thanks

Just posted this in another thread. You should easily be able to tell if your charger has USB-C ports. If not, then simply get some of these adapters:

The use of an A-to-C adapter will limit the charging rate to 7.5W, or 12W if lucky, and Apple hasn't removed Apple 2.4 protocol support from the iPhone 13 like it has with the iPads Pro, and the adapter also supports it.

The iPhone 13 is a leap in technology from the 6S. It's best to update your support accessories as well.

Thanks! I’ll probably pick up an adapter to have in the car (which is as old as my current iPhone :D ). But, I’ll buy a new accessories for home use.
