Just wondering, can one use the USB power adapter that came with the iPhone 6 to be used on a iPhone 5S?

Another question while were on the topic on this.

Does anyone else experience issues removing the lighting cable from the USB Power Adaptor?
Most of the time, I have to force it out.
I read in most articles that this is by design.
Here is even a video about it on how to force it off with a plastic tool.

Most of the time, I just need to wiggle it with some force in order to remove it from the USB Power Adaptor.

Is the adaptor that this occurs with from Apple? I have a genuine apple 2m lightning cable (with the deep retention holes like in the video) and it slides easily in and out of: an ipod charger that is what must be over 5 years old, an iphone 4S charger, a sony xperia charger and a samsung GS3 charger. These are all genuine chargers. No issues either with the 11" MBA I'm using right now.

I don't really feel like going through usb spec sheets, but you'd think that the hole depth shouldn't matter, and that the receptacle spring clips are designed in such a way that they are unable to lock up the plug. Could be wrong about that though.
