Okay it's very obvious that the iphone 4 or any iDevice below Iphone 5 can not charge the iphone 5 but if the connector of the iphone 4 charger were to be cut of with the wires still in place, do you think it will be possible to charge the iphone 5 by placing the wires in the iphone 5 charging port ?

Alternatively, take the plug off your toaster and shove the wires inside your lightning port.

1. Get a set of jumper cables.
2. Climb the wire pole on your street.
3. Hook the cables up to it.
4. Rip the clamps off of the other end.
5. Insert the bare ends into your lightning port.

Your phone should charge instantly. ;)

Couldn't you just put the phone in the toaster? Then you could charge multiple phones at once!

Excellent idea! Buy a 4-slot toaster and charge four iDevices simultaneously.

Charging an iPhone 5 with an iPhone 4 charger?

No, needs the IC embedded in the lightning cable to tell iPhone to go into charging mode.

You could charge an Android phone that way.
